UV / VIS Spectrophotometry

METTLER TOLEDO’s UV-VIS Excellence spectrophotometers offer many benefits and accelerate your spectroscopic workflows.  With a small footprint and no warm up time required, full spectrum scans take just one second.  Spectrophotometers utilize a combination of array technology and a long-lasting xenon lamp, to reduce maintenance costs. Used as either as a standalone instrument or with LabX® PC software to ensure compliance and data integrity (FDA 21 CFR Part 11). The option of multi-parameter systems is available by connecting to other METTLER TOLEDO instruments.  Performance verification is conveniently automated with the CertiRef™ module.

Applications: UV/VIS Spectrophotometry, Spectroscopic Analysis, Life Science Research, Biomolecular Research, Excellence UV/VIS, EasyPlus UV/VIS, Cuvette Changers, Protein Analysis, Colour Measurement, Micro-Volume Measurements, Cuvette Measurements, UV5Nano, UV5Bio, Biomolecule Analysis, UV5, UV7, Purity of Nucleic Acids

Next Level Efficiency for Spectrophotometry

METTLER TOLEDO’s Excellence UV/VIS spectrophotometers provide researchers with all that is needed for fast, accurate and reliable spectroscopic analysis of biomolecules and other substances. Features include:

  • Quick and dependable measurements are made possible with FastTrack™ technology and a long-lasting xenon lamp.
  • The sampling area allows for direct access and the sample is prevented from drying out through LockPath™ technology.
  • No warm-up time is required, and an intuitive touchscreen enables full spectrum scans to be achieved in seconds, for high-speed data acquisition.
  • There are numerous pre-defined applications available for biomolecular analysis. The purity concentration of nucleic acids such as dsDNA, ssDNA, or RNA can easily be assessed, and protein analysis options include direct determination at 280 nm or indirect determination with dyes. Measurements can also be done through commonly used assays such as Lowry, Bradford, Biuret, or BCA protocols.
  • The UV7 is designed for demanding tasks, offering exceptional flexibility with modular options like the CuvetteChanger and more.
  • The UV5Nano is ideal for life science applications, handling small sample sizes down to 1 microlitre with precision using LockPath technology.
