Micro Ultra Micro Balances

Micro & Ultra Micro Balances

Taking weighing to new limits

XPR micro and ultra-microbalances are used to accurately weigh the smallest of samples.ย  These balances are used in product testing, pharmaceutical, quality assurance labs, chemistry labs and mining to measure small amounts of powders and minerals.

Micro and ultra-microbalance applications include:

  • Particulate matter (filter) weighing
  • Pipette calibration
  • Analysis of pesticides
  • Ashing or incineration
  • Drying, measurement of coatings and checking spillage quantities
Applications: METTLER TOLEDO, Laboratory Weighing, Microbalances, Ultra-microbalances, XPR Balance

Seeking higher weighing precision?

When a high level of accuracy is required for weighing very small samples, METTLER TOLEDOโ€™S microbalances provide a six decimal place readability (1 ยตg) while the ultra-microbalances provide a seven decimal place readability (0.1 ยตg).ย  These balances feature a highly sensitive weighing cell, a secondary inner draft shield, and a smaller hanging weighing pan.ย

Microbalancesย

Microbalances are ideal for weighing rare, precious or potent substances, since only a very small amount is required, ensuring safety and economy. The XPR microbalances are designed with a separation of the electronics from the weighing cell to protect the sample.ย  The Active Temperature Control (ATCโ„ข)ย  system ensures that the temperature inside the chamber remains the same as the outside, for accuracy.

Ultra-microbalancesย

Ultra-microbalances achieve extreme accuracyย with a toplevel weighing cell, offering a capacity of 6.1 g and a minimum sample weight of 30 ยตg or 0.03 mg. ย ย
